| By methods of literature and logic analysis, the concept, classification and function of sports social organizations are interpreted. After discussing the evolution courses of China’s sports social organization since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, in this study, it is divided into the dependency period under allround government, administrative control period under developmentoriented government, and cooperation period under serviceoriented government. It is argued that at the present stage, the total amount of sports social organizations in China has increased, made breakthroughs of the dual management system and transferred from the role of administrative control to nurturing, but some disadvantages are also exposed, including incomplete deinstituionalization, immature mechanism of cooperation with the government, weak consciousness of social participation. In view of the above problems, it is pointed out that the development mode of“twowheel drive”for both the sports cause and the sports industry should be insisted, that the rule of law, the pivotalization and the specialized construction should be emphasized. Sports social organization with modern sense and features of separation of government and organizations, clear stated rights and obligations, and selfgovernance based on law, is the future development trend of sports social organization in China |
